Before emigrating down here to Surrey
in 1997 I spent many a happy evening/day/weekend in there. It has a
lot to offer: the great atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff and
locals alike, the lovely "sun-trappy" beer garden, good juke box, dart
board, pool table. The food's excellent as well but it's not one of those
ghastly pub/restaurant hybrids. Obviously the beer is pretty handy too.
The recent renovation had the unexpected effect of actually improving on
the place! Also a great music and comedy venue and fantastic for watching
big footy games in.
